Nutanix introduced the Nutanix Certified Professional – Database Automation (NCP‑DB) 7.5 exam, designed to validate the skills required to deploy, manage, and optimize databases using Nutanix Database Service (NDB).

What Skills Are Measured?

The NCP‑DB 7.5 exam is built around real-world responsibilities and covers four major skill domains:

  • Deploy and Configure an NDB Solution
  • Monitor Alerts and Storage Usage
  • Operate and Maintain an NDB Environment
  • Administer an NDB Environment

How Do I Register?

  1. Go to Nutanix University
  2. Click My Certifications
  3. Select the NCP-DB 7.5 Beta Exam

Availability is limited to the first 250 participants, with exam appointments offered from now through July 19, 2026. Beta exams include more questions than the standard exam, and results are delayed, typically taking 1–2 months to be released. Please only register if you are committed to completing the beta exam.

How Should I Prepare for the Beta Exam?

While training is not mandatory, Nutanix strongly recommends the Nutanix Database Management & Automation (NDMA) course.

This course covers:

  • RBAC and security
  • Database lifecycle operations (provision, patch, protect, clone)
